“Effective Team Building”

A virtual workshop on “Effective Team Building” was organized by the ‘Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)’, Britannia University on 8th March 2021 at 7:00 pm via Zoom Online Platform. For achieving the ultimate goals of the IQAC, BU, it is the responsibility of the IQAC to arrange the workshops for the faculty members and admin staffs for facilitating them with training and skilled for self-assessment process. According to that, IQAC, BU had set its first workshop to facilitate its major stakeholders within aim to prepare them to meet the external and internal quality assurance assessment and accreditation requirements. It was a more than two-hour live seminar.

The keynote speaker of the workshop was Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam Director, IQAC, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). The session chair of the seminar was the Honourable Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) of Britannia University Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya. There were also present Dr. Md. Milan Hossain, Director, IQAC, BU, Mr. Md. Tariqul Alam, Chairman, Department of English, Mr. Mozammel Haque, Chairman, Department of CSE, Md. Md. Sheikh Shahidul Islam Shajib ,Asst. Exam- Controller,  all members of PSAC of each department, respected other faculty members of the concerned departments and Admin staff of Britannia University.

 The session was hosted by Tanjila Tamanna, Assistant Director, IQAC,BU. Then she welcomed to the honourable director of IQAC, BU, Dr. Milan Hossain for delivering his welcome speech. His speech covered the role of IQAC in BU, the importance of the team building of the concerned all departments, the activities of the PSAC in BU, the appreciation to all active members of IQAC and an invitation to work together for a better result by IQAC in BU.

After that the Asst. Exam-Controller, Md. Sheikh Shahidul Islam Shajib gave  his speech in Charge of the Honorable Registrar, BU by mentioning the important role of IQAC in an institution along with the necessity of the team building among to all concerned. He finished his speech with giving thanks to our distinguished keynote speaker and to present all.

After that our distinguished keynote speaker Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam, Director, IQAC, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) was welcomed to start his session. Then he started his session by sharing a power point presentation named “Concept of Self-Assessment and Team Building”. He gave some important directions as to how QA, IQAC, PoE & PSAC will work step by step following the instructions of UGC as well as BAC in an institution. He as an experienced member of the Quality Assurance Committee shared his experiences and valuable suggestions for preparing Self- Assessment Report of the concerned departments in the University through his power point presentation. Then, he also discussed about the importance of the OBE curriculum, techniques of formatting the PLO, CLO etc. He gave his praiseworthy to the Director, IQAC, BU for its outstanding works and advance thinking regarding quality of education along with its implementation.

After the outstanding presentation by the keynote speaker the session was open for discussion. Then the members of the PSAC of the concerned all departments asked many questions to the keynote speaker for their future activities and a best result in the BU. The keynote speaker answered them all by a very effective way and language.

 

After ending the open discussion the Session Chair, Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya, Honourable Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) gave his ending speech with the mention of the present outstanding role of IQAC, BU, the importance of the workshop, the necessity of the team building for a best result, the utmost interest and possibility of more workshops in this matter, the helping hands from the all corner of BU authority. He ended his speech with cordial thanks to the keynote speaker, Md. Ashraful Alam for his outstanding presentation and to present all concerned. Then the session was ended with the best wishes to IAQC, BU and all the concerned.
